RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to eradicating terrorism and stated that security operations against militant organizations would continue until peace was fully restored across the nation, especially in Balochistan. In a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief made these comments during his speech to the participants of the 20th National Workshop Balochistan as they paid a visit to the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi. Participants from several areas met at the workshop to talk about national security, growth, and problems impacting Balochistan.
Field Marshal Asim Munir said in his address that components that are said to be receiving international backing are trying to cause unrest and instability in Balochistan. He emphasized that terrorism and violence would not be permitted to jeopardize Pakistan's national security or the region's peace. According to the Army Chief, the security forces are unwavering in their commitment to dismantling all terrorist networks. According to him, in line with Pakistan's security goals, any infrastructure utilized by militant organizations to jeopardize citizens' lives would be attacked as needed. Field Marshal Asim Munir said in his address regarding the continuous anti-terrorism activities that the targeted activities against Fitna-ul-Kharij and Fitna-ul-Hindustan would proceed until terrorism and its backing systems were entirely eradicated. He insisted that Pakistan was in great danger from terrorists and those who support them, and that ongoing security operations would be used to combat them.
He stressed that combating terrorism needs a unified national reaction. The Army Chief believes that enduring peace and stability in Balochistan can only be attained through the unified endeavors of Pakistan's armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and populace. Additionally, the Army Chief emphasized the necessity of public cooperation in overcoming radical forces. He declared that the security organizations and local populations would work together to thwart any attempts by groups with foreign support to disrupt the peace in the region. In addition, he stated that the armed services are always ready to defend the nation's territorial integrity and sovereignty.
While discussing the value of Balochistan, Field Marshal Asim Munir defined it as a crucial part of Pakistan that is distinguished by its abundant natural resources, strategic importance, and patriotic people. He claims the province has enormous promise for national development and economic growth.
Additionally, he mentioned that both the federal and provincial governments are launching a number of development and welfare projects in Balochistan in an effort to raise the region's socio-economic situation. He stated that these programs place a strong emphasis on the creation of infrastructure, education, healthcare, work opportunities, and enhanced public services in order to raise the standard of living for the local population. According to the Army Chief, sustainable growth and improved governance are important elements in strengthening peace and solving long-term concerns in the region. He stated that economic growth and security must work together in order to create a stable and prosperous future for Balochistan.
